Flashback to circa 2013:
I am 19. I am in nursing school. I am pregnant with my first baby.
I was also a "good girl" renowned for being quiet, kind, and cooperative. But I had a secret.
The farther time moves me from the physical events of my first birth, the larger the impact of that birth feels. This intimate moment, and realization asks for an intimate space to discuss not only my experience, but yours too, and how birth really does create ripples that we feel for a lifetime.
I chose to publish this piece in our private membership space, where we can cultivate community in our own time, in our own way, without unwanted spectators or algorithms. Just us, our thoughts, and love for what we do - being and supporting mothers.
I'll see you there.
